Airport Land Use Commission

The seven member Tehama County Airport Land Use Commission was established by the Tehama County Board of Supervisors.   Within Tehama County there are two airports, one airport is located in the city of Red Bluff and the other is located within the city of Corning.  The TCALUC is empowered to review and make determinations for proposed uses of land within compatibility zones established under each airport’s adopted Airport Land Use Plans.  The goal of the ALUC is to ensure land uses proposed within the ALUP areas (Red Bluff and Corning Airports) are consistent with public safety, noise, and height restriction regulations.  Implementation of these ALUP’s will promote compatible development in the airport vicinity and restrict incompatible development, thus allowing for the continued operation of the airports.
