Notary Public

To become a notary public, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be a legal California resident
  • Satisfactorily complete a written examination prescribed by the Secretary of State
  • Obtain a notary public bond

NOTARY FILING FEES

Filing Oath of Notary Public: $15.00

Recording Notary Bond (first page): $14.00; each additional page: $3.00

Notary Signature Authentication: $7.00
