Household Hazardous Waste Collection events are for Tehama County residents and businesses only. Businesses MUST make an appointment prior to dropping off Hazardous Waste.
What to bring: fluorescent light bulbs, transmission fluid, grease, pesticides, fertilizers, oil-based paints, stains, pool & spa chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, old gasoline, kerosene, creosote, tar, lead-based paint, aerosol cans, propane cylinders (small only), acids, bases, such as drain cleaner, tub & tile cleaner, etching products and solvents. Keep all waste in original containers, 15 gallons or 50 pounds load limit per DOT.
What NOT to bring: food waste, garbage, yard waste, roofing, concrete, appliances, televisions, monitors, railroad ties, paper, cardboard, medical waste, explosives and construction wastes such as drywall, glass, etc.
