Mission Statement
Through active involvement of the board, agencies, community and staff, we assist the people of Tehama County to achieve self-sufficiency, thereby becoming contributing members of community, both economically and socially, and ultimately attaining a sense of community identity.
How do we do this?
By providing various programs that assist low-income families either with direct services through our office or subcontractors that are funded by grants that our agency receives. This collaborative effort includes many valuable agencies, including the Department of Social Services, Tehama County Public Health and the City of Red Bluff.
Direct Services Provided:
Senior Nutrition Program
The Community Action Agency, in conjunction with The City of Red Bluff administers the Senior Nutrition Program for Tehama County. The City of Red Bluff handles the day to day operation of this program and any questions should be directed to the program director at Red Bluff Community Center.
Referral Service
Over 20 different agency brochures are available at our agency. We also use the resource guide provided by Tehama County Head Start to refer individuals needing services of any kind. We take every phone call serious and do our very best to refer clients to the agency that can best suit their needs.
Sub Contracted Services
Several Federal Grants, including the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) and FEMA fund our agency. These funds are slated for services to low-income individuals. Various services are provided through sub-contractors who are funded by our agency. The services include, but are limited to: emergency food and shelter programs, job training programs, and violence prevention programs.
