 Our Mission:

 

Child Support Services and Parents Working Together for Children  

 

Our role is to work directly with families to:  

 

 •Establish paternity

 •Establish and enforce child and/or medical support orders and

 •Monitor payment activity.

 

We serve any custodial party, non-custodial parent, or other state agency providing services to one of those parties. Families receiving public assistance in Tehama County under Title IV-A (TANF/Cal Works), Title IV-E (Foster Care) will have their case automatically referred to Child Support Services (CSS) and are required to cooperate in the effort to establish and enforce child support.

Security Alert for California Electronic Pay Card (EPC) Users

 

The California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) has been alerted to mobile phone applications that may seek personal information from Electronic Pay Card users. Please be aware the Department currently does not use such applications, and instead makes available self-service options to our customers that are well-tested and safe to use.

The following security message will appear on the DCSS public website to alert EPC cardholders.

Protect your privacy and identity.

The California Department of Child Support Services currently does not utilize smart phone apps for activity related to your California EPC debit card. Using such applications may subject you to scams which try to fraudulently obtain your banking information, including your User ID log-on and password.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please call EPPICard. The number is on the back of your card.

For other ways to protect your personal information and avoid identity theft, visit the California Office of Privacy Protection. Information is also available at https://www.eppicard.com/.

The following statewide broadcast message will be recorded in English and Spanish on Customer Connect: 1-866-901-3212. This message will be heard prior to any options being selected.
